The assignment: This assignment was about analyzing the information architecture of an website of our on choice. Since I´m intrerested and emotionally invested in approvements in the society I chose to analyze an non-profit organisation in Sweden, Porrfribarndom. This choice aligns with my Bachelor degree in Sociology, meaning that becoming an UX-designer and with a background in sociology, I want to be able to contribute with positive societal development. A development that includes usability of organizations or other authorities working to make the future a better one place for ourselves and above all for today’s children – our future.
I have therefore chosen to analyze Porrfribarndom’s website, to contribute to parents and authorities or politicians to be able to find, absorb and understand the information that is available on the organization’s website. If more people become enlightened with easily accessible information regarding the negative impact of online porn on young people, hopefully more children and young people discover their sexual identity without the negative effects of online porn impacts.
Aim of this study: The report aims to review and analyze the website’s information architecture through a needs analysis, user analysis, task analysis and a functional analysis. The report ends with a summary and discussion of the areas for improvement I´ve found.
